Yes, the club is run by volunteers and we need help on a Saturday morning to ensure the smooth running of the day. Players as young as 5 (turning 5 in the current year) are eligible to play in the U6 age group.
A.
The age group is based on the age that your child will be turning in the current year.
For example, for the 2025 season, if your child turns ten on 1 January 2025, they will be in the Under ten age group. If your child turns ten on 31 December 2025, they will still be under ten.
A.
Absolutely! We encourage children and adults of all experience levels to play with the club. Teams are graded so that each player can play in a division that is appropriate to their skill level.

The Under 6 and Under 7 age groups play all their games at the Rams home ground, The Hills Centenary Park, Commercial Road, Rouse Hill.
The Under 8 age group through to seniors will play games at a combination of grounds within the Hills District – games at the Rams home ground (The Hills Centenary Park) and other clubs’ home grounds.
A.
Grounds may be closed either by council, or by the club. If the council decides to close the grounds, they will make the decision (generally) on Friday afternoon and inform the clubs accordingly. Sometimes the grounds remain open at the club’s discretion – if this occurs and the committee decide that the grounds have become unsafe/unplayable then they will close the grounds.
In either case, keep your eye on our Facebook page, and there will be announcements as soon as decisions are made. Please bear in mind that some grounds may be closed while others are kept open, so do not assume that because one ground is closed, that all of them are.

Training days are decided on Muster Day, which is the day that teams will be announced, and where you will meet your coach and manager. The training day is generally decided by the team as a whole, but in the end, it does come down to the day best suited to the coach.
Most teams will train once per week, however some higher divisions and ages will train twice.
A.
Requests (U6 and U7) must be submitted at registration and reciprocated by all parties to be considered
U8 and Above: Requests are considered, but players will be placed in the lower division if their abilities differ. To enhance the experience, the club recommends children play in the division that best suits their skills.

The draw (season fixture) for Under 8’s and above is prepared and released by Hills Football. It is most likely that the draw will be released a week before the commencement of the season.

For the Under 6s and Under 7s – as this is run in-house, Rams will release the full draw prior to the start of the season. Under 7s will play games at either 8am or 9am and Under 6s will play games at either 9am or 10am.

The Rouse Hill Rams Football Club is part of the Hills Football Association (HFI). Clubs within this association must grade some players to ensure that teams play with and against players of similar skill and ability. We have adopted an approach that allows children who want to push their skill level and try to improve their division selection and those who want to play with their mates.
