Many children join a soccer team to enjoy playing with friends and to have a positive learning experience. The sad truth is that many children feel lost and intimidated in their early years of organised sport because they lack self-belief and confidence. Now what does this come down to? Is it the pressure of performing? Is it the swarm of kids all chasing after the one ball? Is it the pressure of getting ready for a big game and the fear of losing? The answer is simple, it comes down to the relationship between ball and child; Skill. The more an individual is skilful and competent in their activity or field the more they are likely to maximise their experience. Here is a recent extract  from Soccer Starts at Home written by T3's global founder, Tom Byer;

"People often say of technically gifted players: 'He's a natural.' But is that true? It suggests that soccer ability is something that's already inside a youngster, hidden away in the DNA, just waiting for something or someone to bring it out. The truth is that there will always be different levels in innate ability, but that's not to say many important skill can't be taught or learned. So when can we learn soccer skills? And where can we learn them? And who can we learn them from? You might be surprised at the answers.”

Following on from Tom's comments, T3 Australia founders Ehsan Popal and Matthew Sim (A-league professional footballer) will host a special engagement session with the club’s parents and coaches. The session will share the experiences of Ehsan and Matt who have worked with thousands of children across Australia at the grassroots level. Ehsan and Matt will demonstrate several methods on how individual skill development can be enhanced through simple techniques that can be used by any parent or coach on and off the field. Ehsan and Matt will also share some of the work T3 has facilitated in Europe and Asia.

The session is for coaches, managers and parents of kids aged between 3-12. Don't miss out the event which is to be highly beneficial to you all.
