On Monday 30th November Rouse Hill Rams Soccer invited all members to come along to join in discussions about moving into the 2016 season and beyond.

Earlier this year Rams members where asked if they would support a move away from Granville (GDSFA) to a Hills based association (SHFA). The support for a Hills comp was extremely positive.

This information allowed the Rams to investigate and contribute with other Hills + Gladesville clubs to the forming and setting up of an initial management group to move forward. Many meetings and discussions were held. GDSFA never supported this, and in turn Football NSW stated that a Hills based Association would not be sanctioned for 2016.

The decision by FNSW to “not sanction” the SHFA lead the Rams Executive to make the decision to stay with GDSFA.

Recently, SHFA have announced that they will be going ahead in 2016; they’ve made statements that they have some existing clubs from GDSFA and some new (yet to be fully formed) clubs “ready to go”.

For the Rams, SHFA’s product is just not ready yet.  Our Club has over 900 players for whom we want to provide the best possible Football experience and opportunities without risk, and be sanctioned by the governing bodies.

The Club took an holistic approach to what best suited “ALL” its members from under 6’s to over 45’s, Girls & Ladies Competitions, Coaching clinics, State Cup Opportunities, Kanga Cup, Gala Days, Trial Games, Champion of Champions, Referees, Referee Clinics, Insurance, access to Club management/registration tools, player records, the safety and support of Football NSW, its pathways and benefits for all Football players.

It would seem that some people would like to explore other football options…

So. For Mums, Dads and all members – What to do?

EASY …… Stay with the Rams…

The Rams Soccer Club stands by the products it offers it members.  We have great facilities, great programs for our kids, great relationships within our community, fully supported by the Rouse Hill Rams Sports club and its 3000 members, and a real commitment to providing kids a club they can belong to and be proud of.

Discussions on Monday night allowed for some very positive feedback, it also identified how passionate people are about football, their kids, their team, their club and their future. What it also demonstrated is that “your” committee is in touch with your needs, has the ability to listen, learn and be dynamic enough to change as opportunities present themselves. What this means is that although we haven’t moved with SHFA for 2016, if it gets sanctioned in the future, we are open to explore the opportunities to best suit the RAMS.

Yours in Football
